Abstract

This paper examines the urgent yet under-addressed challenge of microplastic contamination in the Philippines, highlighting gaps in research, waste management, and public awareness. It emphasizes the need for coordinated, evidence-based strategies that integrate scientific research, policy enforcement, community action, and industrial reform to mitigate environmental and health risks posed by microplastics.
