Abstract

This essay examines the evolving role of educational leadership in the Anthropocene, arguing that escalating environmental crises require administrators to move beyond conventional management toward transformative, ecologically conscious governance. It highlights how policy frameworks, such as mandatory Climate Action Plans, intersect with grassroots movements, transformational leadership, and teacher agency to drive institutional decarbonization and resilience. Ultimately, the text emphasizes that effective environmental stewardship involves integrating sustainability across curricula, operations, and community partnerships to prepare educational institutions for long-term ecological challenges.
